Chapter to award $6,000 in scholarships
The Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association would like to invite current UA Juniors and Seniors who are from Benton and Washington counties to apply for one of six $1,000 merit-based scholarships available for the 2009-2010 academic year. The scholarships will be awarded to full-time Junior or Senior students from Benton and Washington counties who are enrolled for the 2009-2010 academic year. To be eligible, students must meet all of the following criteria:
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.20 - 60 credit hours by the end of the Spring 2009 semester - Graduate of a Washington or Benton County, AR High School - Full-time undergraduate student (graduate students are not eligible)

Welcome from the Northwest Arkansas Chapter!
As the largest chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association, we have a tremendous responsibility to many that support the University of Arkansas -- including students, alumni, friends and the communities of Northwest Arkansas.
Members of this chapter have made some noteworthy accomplishments -- providing scholarships for local UA students, welcoming new graduates to the working world, going to games together, and much more!
But we can do more! For 2008, we would like to host more events and take more trips. But we can't do that without you. With the right ideas, energy and resources, we can reach out and achieve more worthy goals and enjoy each other's company in the process.
