New Officers Approved

The Razorback Band Alumni Society Board of Directors approved the following slate of new officers at their recent meeting:

President: Dr. T.T. Tyler Thompson
Past-President: Dr. T.O. Spicer, Jr.
Vice President: Mr. Mark Brewer
Secretary: Mr. John Tolleson
Chairperson for Communications/Public Relations Committee: Mr. Doug Blevins
Member At-Large: Katie Watson Walden

Officers are elected annually by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. The President serves two successive one-year terms. At the end of the President’s term, he or she shall serve an additional term as Past-President.

UA Bands Welcome Guests to Open House and Dedication

Fulbright College Dean Donald R. Bobbitt and Director of Athletic Bands Timothy Gunter hosted the Lewis E. Epley, Jr. Band Hall open house and dedication of the T.O. and Martha Spicer Wall of Honor on April 21st, 2007.

We send appreciation to the Razorback Band Alumni Society, the Razorback Band Student Council, and our benefactors and friends who made this event such a memorable occasion. Thank you!

Director Emeritus Eldon Janzen Receives Honor

Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity has elected Eldon Janzen, Director of University of Arkansas Bands from 1970-1995, to its International Hall of Fame. Phi Beta Mu plans to feature Mr. Janzen's election in a special newsletter.
